The story Disconnected (part III in this story arc) was my very first attempt at writing fiction, but when I wrote it I already knew the whole story. I chose that part to write first because it was the first point in the arc which provided anying like a happy ending. That should give you a clue about this story, and particularly about the next one. This story contains quite a bit of angst, and the next one even more. Gotta hurt 'em to get to the comfort, right? But you have to wait until the end of Disconnected and, particularly, for Reconstruction until you get the payoff.
