Original Notes for Soiree

Private Artist II

Posting Notes
This story has no redeeming social value, other than fun :^) It's a feel-good fic, with a little bitty plot threaded through it. If you want deep, meaningful prose, this is the wrong place to find it LOL!

Pairing
Jack/Daniel
Categories and Ratings
Music and fun; Party! G (Unless a couple of kisses pushes it over the line, this is a big, fat G rated story. If it makes you feel better, you can call it PG.)
Series/Season
Part II of the "Private Artist" story arc.
Spoilers
No episode spoilers, but does contain spoilers for my story, Progenitors, a "Daniel's Life" story which appeared in the zine, The Other Side. The story is now also available here.
Original Summary
Somebody's having a birthday party :^)
Warnings
A loving, committed m/m relationship is assumed in this story. Oh, and if you don't think Daniel Jackson is pretty wonderful, you probably aren't going to want to read this.
Notes
This is a sequel to my story Private Artist. Private Artist belongs in my "Disconnected" universe, following several months after the main story sequence. There are no spoilers for any SG episodes, and the "Disconnected" universe diverges from canon some time during fourth season.

This story includes some of the original characters I've created for earlier stories. Ian, Jason and Beth, of course, come from Private Artist. Daniel's cousin Cyn and her daughter Manda appeared in Progenitors, along with another cousin (Jimmy) who is mentioned but doesn't appear in Soiree.

There is an extensive appendix to this story which will introduce those interested to the musicians whose work I used as the basis for the performances at Sam's party.

Endless thanks to my beta readers, Brenda, Tory and Poss.

Stargate SG-1 and its characters are properties of Showtime/Viacom, MGM/UA, Double Secret Productions and Gekko Productions. Much to my sorrow, I think that precludes me claiming either the archaeologist or the colonel. This story is intended for entertainment purposes only; no money will be made from it. Trust me. No money.
