This story actually began life years ago, quite a while before I began writing myself. The central premise and key encounter have been with me ever since, awaiting their chance. |
I've always felt that the treatment given to the alternate universes in canon was shallow, failing to follow through on the real consequences of the significant differences between their universes and ours. I hope this story is a bit more penetrating. |
