The List Banner

Children Of The Gods: My first Stargate wallpaper, though it’s been reworked since it was first created. I made this for a friend a year before I’d ever seen an episode. The original version had Kowalski instead of Teal'c. Told you I'd never seen an episode LOL!
Possession: Children of the Gods--Apophis and Sha’uri.
Abydos: Children of the Gods, scenes from Abydos, framing two tragic losses.
Chulak: Again, Children of the Gods. Events on Chulak, focusing on the conflict between Daniel and Apophis.
The Nox: Basic episode wallpaper. Includes an image showing Daniel stroking Jack’s head ;^)
Appearances: As in, "are deceiving." Features the Nox family, and uses their big surprise as a background.
Thor’s Hammer: An episode wallpaper for this excellent episode, though it didn’t have room to tell the whole story. We all know what that means ;^)
Torment of Tantalus: My only ToT wallpaper so far, though this is a favorite episode. This centers on the interactions between pairs--Catherine and Ernest, Jack and Daniel, and, across the years, the young Ernest and Daniel.
Bloodlines: Teal’c’s family emergency. An early wallpaper.
Fire and Water: Basic episode wallpaper for one of my favorites. This tries to tell the story.
Despair: Another Fire and Water wallpaper. Shows the anguish of each of our team in this fraught episode.
Hathor: The "hot" Hathor. Features one of two exquisite portraits of Hathor (the other being featured on the "cold" Hathor).
Violation: The "cold" Hathor. This features the two primary assaults Hathor committed--against Daniel and against Jack.
Singularity: This tells the story of Cassandra. It features some of my favorite images--a lovely shot of Cassandra taking Teal’c’s hand, some beauties of Sam and Cassandra, and a delicious shot of the three beauties of the SGC--Janet, Sam and Daniel--all lined up in a chorus line LOL!
First Person-Sam: This was done in response to a writing challenge on the H/C list. The challenge was to write a story from the first person perspective. I wanted to see if I could do a first person wallpaper.
Enigma: An episode comp for one of my very, very favorite episodes. Among other things, it features a couple of "Oh, wow!" moments for Daniel.
Solitudes: A wallpaper showcasing the two struggles of this episode--Sam and Jack struggling to survive; Daniel struggling to find a way to bring them home.
Beyond the Edge. A Solitudes wallpaper featuring Sam and Jack fighting against impossible odds. This contains one of the most beautiful Sam images in my collection.
Separation Anxiety: This Solitudes wallpaper showcases the events back on Earth as Daniel and Teal'c struggle to find their missing team mates and bring them home. The title is courtesy of Debby Andrede.
There But For the Grace of God: Here's the wallpaper that MisMatch started out to be--the story of this fine episode. We've got one surprised Daniel, a confrontational General Jack, a faceoff between General Jack and Teal'c, and Daniel at work.
Mis-Match: This started out to be a general episode wallpaper, but my view of it mutated slightly as I worked on it. It ended up being four pairs of images--Daniel facing up to people who are so familiar to him, but are just not quite right. We've got Daniel and (General) O'Neill, Daniel and Catherine, Daniel and (Colonel) Hammond, and Daniel and (First Prime) Teal'c.
In the Serpent’s Lair: A basic episode wallpaper for this terrific season opener. Of course, it features a tragic moment in the hallway of a spaceship, and a joyous moment in the gate room.
Prisoners: A wallpaper for the episode.
A Different World: Another Prisoners wallpaper, featuring Daniel completely out of his element. So far, this is the only greyscale fannish wallpaper I’ve done--the stark lack of color seemed to fit the subject.
Gamekeeper: An episode comp which tries to tell the story. This includes one of my favorite pictures--Jack checking behind the general’s ear LOL!
Old Battles: Jack’s tale from Gamekeeper.
Early Losses: Daniel’s story from Gamekeeper.
Need: The basic episode wallpaper. Includes a terrific picture captured as Daniel and Shyla are strolling through the trees--just at the moment when he produces that totally unreproducible sound--adorable!
The Man Who Would Be King: From Need, Daniel’s rise and fall.
Incident In A Store Room : A wallpaper showing one of the most intense sequences in the whole series: Jack and Daniel in a darkened store room, wrestling with demons.
Thor's Chariot: This is another episode that gave us a couple of parallel story lines--Jack and Teal'c with the native "vikings," trying to defend against Heru'ur, and Daniel, Sam and Gairwyn seeking out Thor's help. This episode also reminds us that it was Daniel and Sam who actually met Thor first.
Message In a Bottle: Jack in great stress. This wallpaper includes an amazing Daniel picture, which has come to be known as "The Eyelashes." The original screen capture was extremely grainy, and quite dark. After a long time spent carefully cleaning it up, it looks very good--and out of the background of grain and darkness popped these incredible eyelashes! Whew, has that boy got it!
Secrets: The first of a new series of wallpapers for this episode. A general episode wallpaper for a story with way too many things going on LOL!
Secrets: Daniel and Sha'uri: This was actually the first Secrets wallpaper I made. This is Daniel and Sha'uri against a background of the pyramid on Abydos. I'm rather proud of this, as I wrestled with absolutely awful screen captures.
(Official) Secrets: The second of the new series for this episode. This one is for Jack. I called it (Official) Secrets, because that was the kind of secret Jack was wrestling with.
(Family) Secrets: The third of the new Secrets wallpapers. This one is for the secrets between Sam and Jacob. The background is courtesy of NASA.
(Unbearable) Secrets: The final of the new series. This is for Daniel's truly devastating secrets.
Bane: Not a favorite episode, but I’m very pleased with this wallpaper. It’s very striking and dramatic, and it includes probably the most in-character image I’ve yet seen of our good friend Maybourne ;^) Also includes in image of Daniel just after he’s been asked to come help the scientist dissect one of the giant bugs LOL! Definitely a "Who, me?!?" look.
The Fifth Race: A favorite episode and a favorite wallpaper. I feel this does the best job of any I’ve done at telling the story of the episode. Definitely a Jack/Daniel episode and wallpaper.
Lean On Me: This is another wallpaper for Fifth Race. The theme is the unexpected and very special relationship between Daniel and Jack. In this episode, it is Jack who is uncharacteristically having to lean on Daniel. The quote came from the Dave Matthews Band: The complete text is, "I’ll lean on you, and you lean on me, and we’ll be OK." Could be a theme song for these two men.
Serpent’s Song: Another favorite episode. This is one for which I don’t have a lot of good material, but I was able to get the two images I needed--Daniel as he is talking to Apophis, and Daniel as he is talking to Apophis’s host. This was a wonderful episode for Daniel.
Goa’uld of Contention: This is another Serpent’s Song wallpaper, this time featuring the multi-directional tug of war over the disposition of Apophis. It includes the scariest picture I’ve yet seen of our mild archaeologist.
Measure of a Man: Yet another for Serpent’s Song. This revisits one of the themes included in the original SS wallpaper--the interactions between Daniel and Apophis/Apophis’s host. It’s also a wallpaper that highlights the fine acting talents of Michael Shanks.
Holiday: This wallpaper exists in two forms--one with gold framing and picture borders, the other with red. I couldn’t decide which I liked best, so both are on the wallpaper page. A real tour de force for Michael Shanks. He’s on this wallpaper four times--as Daniel, as Machello, as Machello in Daniel, and as Jack in Daniel--and it’s crystal clear exactly which he is in each image. Terrific actor.
One False Step: A wonderful episode, and I love the two wallpapers I did for it. This is the episode wallpaper. Among other things, it includes a great image of Daniel getting his face painted LOL!
Life Lesson #32: Talk to Your Plants! I begged and groveled to several people in order to get the material for this one. The result is that I’ve got a plump little file of a bunch of those "bookends" images--all mine LOL! This wallpaper is all about that little tiff between Jack and Daniel, and about the aftermath in the Infirmary. What a pair!
Do We Know These Guys? 1969: What can I say?
Jaffa Joke: This episode (Seth) introduced us to a new side of our stoic Jaffa. Who could have predicted this?
Lessons: For the episode Learning Curve. This highlights the various lessons learned in this episode.
Deadman Switch: Oh, did I obsess over this episode! Absolutely loved it. This is the general episode wallpaper, featuring the wonderful Aris Boch, and also Daniel bumping his pretty nose on the force field LOL! I'll never understand why they never brought Boch back.
A Day’s Rations: Deadman Switch again. Daniel was just too incredibly cute in this episode. This is actually a wallpaper for him (as is the next one). The title comes from the tease Aris Boch inflicted on poor Daniel. As if the boy didn’t have enough self image problems all on his own!
Wh...what? Another Daniel/Deadman Switch wallpaper--actually the first I did. I just couldn’t resist the flock of goofy expressions that flitted across that adorable face.
Partners: Again, Deadman Switch. This episode rather uncharacteristically gave us some Jack/Daniel partnership.
Legacy: A very favorite episode. In fact, third season has a lot of those. This general wallpaper tells us the terrible story of the episode.
Beyond My Control: Legacy, again--centered on Daniel’s plight.
Fair Game: Not a favorite episode, though I’m fascinated by a couple of the Goa’uld it introduced, and hope they bring them back. My favorite image here is Daniel restraining Teal’c with nothing more than a gentle hand on his chest.
Forever In A Day: What can be said about this episode? I tried to tell some of what was going on, yet also convey the notion that everything happened in a split second, inside Daniel’s head.
Keep Me In Your Dreams: This is a bittersweet farewell for Daniel and Sha’uri. Forever In A Day, of course.
Past and Present: An episode I really liked. This episode comp focuses on pairs--Daniel and Kira, Kira and Linnea, Jack and Sam, Jack and Daniel, Daniel and Teal’c.
Between Darkness and Light: Past and Present, again, this time zeroing in on the relationship between Daniel and Kira, from that first gentle flirting scene in the library, through the scene where Daniel places himself between Jack’s gun and Kira’s poisonous vials, and to the sad moment when he lets her go through the gate. Poor baby.
Jolinar’s Memories: A general comp for this episode. My favorite shot here is the brother/sister image of Daniel and Sam.
On the Rack: A Jolinar’s Memories wallpaper for Sam, highlighting her extremely stressful experiences during this episode, and her great strength in such a terrible situation.
Strength and Wisdom: This is for the episode Pretense, but it’s a Daniel-Jack wallpaper. The title comes from Skaara’s lines. He says, "O’Neill is strong; Daniel is wise."
Urgo: I loved this episode. It was screamingly funny, and I adore goofy old Dom DeLuise. This is a general wallpaper for the episode. Best image, Daniel and Jack nose to nose over the microphone ;^)
Woof?! Another Urgo wallpaper, highlighting my very favorite moment. While Urgo is here, this is a Daniel-Jack wallpaper LOL!
Grave Danger: This honors that other hilarious scene in Urgo LOL! The title comes from Jack’s line, "Apparently, Sir, all desserts on base are in grave danger."
A Hundred Days: An episode wallpaper chronicling Jack’s sojourn. All of the team appear, though Teal’c’s image is a bit strange.
Warrior’s Heart: This is a pastorale for Jack and his lady. A Hundred Days.
Rain of Fire: A single image wallpaper. I’d intended to use this image as a background for a collage, but once I’d gotten it worked up I couldn’t stand to cover it up.
Shades of Grey: This is a difficult episode for a variety of reasons. I had and have a strong emotional reaction to the events in the story, and it was very difficult to say everything that I consider important. Teal'c is representing the team from that first briefing, opposing a non-repentant Jack. Daniel painfully represents the scene in Jack's house. And we have Maybourne the slug, and the confrontation between Jack and Makepeace. Excuse the British spelling of that pale black color on both of these wallpapers LOL! And no, I'm not British. Just confused ;^)
Beyond Price: A tense one for Jack and Daniel. This one features something precious that Jack risked losing. This is a rare wallpaper because after I sent it to my list, I made a major change as a result of a feedback suggestion from Rowan. Thanks, Row, you were right.
New Ground: This is the general episode wallpaper, showing us the beginning and the end, a fine villain, and Our Team in strife. Oh, and Daniel's new little buddy
Beyond the Call: Daniel between a rock and a hard place. This wallpaper highlights the pressure brought to bear on our archaeologist in an attempt to persuade him to reveal the presence of Teal'c. Hang in there, Danny.
Bite Me!: Jack responds to a tight situation in typical manner--by mouthing off.
Maternal Instinct: Another episode I really loved. This one tells the story, centered around the child.
Here, No Bull Can Hide: A paean to Jack’s encounter with the truly enigmatic monk LOL! I also got to sneak in a great shot of Daniel which I couldn’t fit into the MI episode wallpaper.
Not Nice! Maternal Instinct, again. A wallpaper in honor of Mother Nature, someone, as Daniel tells Jack, you really don’t want to fool with. LOL! Took me a couple of moments to get it when I watched this for the first time.
Letting Go: A fourth wallpaper for Maternal Instinct. Daniel, realizing that he needs to do the right thing by that baby, even if it is his last physical link to Sha’uri.
Shoes: This one is for the fetishists among us LOL! Those who are entranced by the bare toes of TWTID. It's yet another for Maternal Instinct, covering just a few seconds of the action. Here you've got them, folks--those cute little bare feet.
Crystal Skull: Just my current very favorite episode. This tells the story. And I managed to get my hands on my very favorite instant in the episode--Janet’s face when Nick sasses Jack LOL!
Grampa: Crystal Skull, again. Yet another one for Daniel, focusing on the lack of things like loving grandfathers in his life. Check out the image in the lower right corner--what grandfather could resist that face?
Oh, Yeah, By the Way... Daniel, making adorable faces as he tells his team mates--who can’t see or hear him--that his grandfather isn’t quite your normal kind of ancestor.
Nemesis Jack: This is another single image wallpaper. So far, I don’t much like this episode, but as I was screening images looking for something someone had requested, I stumbled across this stunning image of Jack.
Nemesis Teal’c: Another single image wallpaper from Nemesis, featuring Teal’c’s face through the faceplate of the spacesuit, with Jack reflected on the faceplate.
Nemesis Daniel: Here we have a slightly green around the edges Daniel, the team member left behind because of an impolite body part. This is a very rare wallpaper--a special request. Don't get any ideas...
Nemesis Sam: Completing our winning hand, here’s the lovely Major Doctor Carter.
Left Behind: Another wallpaper featuring a stunning image from this episode. Daniel is featured, contemplating his team in strife without him.
Small Victories: This is a general wallpaper for a complicated episode. We have the beginning, two middles and the end.
Upgrades: This is a general wallpaper.
On The Tiles: Here are our intrepid trio, under the influence, indulging themselves in a bit of AWOL activity. Thanks, Lori, for confirming that "On the Tiles" actually means what I thought it did ;^)
Window of Opportunity: Here's the general episode wallpaper for Window of Opportunity. Frankly, I gave up on trying to tell the story with this one LOL! I just chose a variety of my favorite images. Top honors go to Teal'c with that Thing stuck in his mouth LOL! I think he's lucky Janet didn't try to stick it somewhere else.
No Consequences...? Two guys indulging in any naughtiness they can think up--because they know they won't have to pay the piper ;^) Window of Opportunity.
Did I Miss Something...?:The third of the four WOO wallpapers I have planned. This one stars what I swear is the most expressive face in all of television. Here's our befuddled archaeologist.
(Even *Very* Good) Boys Will Be Boys: This is Teal'c's WOO wallpaper. Please forgive me for reusing that image with the thermometer--absolutely could not resist. It makes me laugh every time I look at it.
Plot in a Box--The First Ones: This is something special. It isn't really my work. Well, I made the wallpaper, but the image strips were created by Cathy, who has been supplying my bottomless craving for more and more images. I was so delighted with these that I made them into a wallpaper. She calls this "Plot in a Box," and you'll see why ;^) Many thanks to Cathy for (1) creating them in the first place, (2) sharing them with me and (3) being willing to let me share them with you.
The First Ones: This one chronicles Daniel's trials and tribulations--from first encounter, through rough handling, past dinner with a friend, and finally to rescue by a Jack who, at least in this episode, remembered that he was supposed to take care of his team.
Marked for Death: This is the second of the First Ones wallpapers. Here we see Daniel's situation at its most desperate.
Life Lesson # 27: It's been a long time since our last Life Lesson, so Daniel is here to demonstrate a new one for us. (Why is it that it's always Daniel who demonstrates these little faux pas?) Here Daniel and his buddy teach us: Don't Play with your Food! Thanks to Lori Grey for the idea for this one. First Ones, of course.
Plot in a Box--Scorched Earth: Another nifty plot synopsis from Cathy. She really winkles the meat out of the nut LOL! Again, I did nothing except adjust the light and slap on a background and lettering--the real work was Cathy's. And she's obviously brilliant.
The Curse: This first one is the general episode wallpaper starring, of course, our eyeable archaeologist and his stunning old friend/new foe. Boy, does that man clean up nice ;^)
Osiris (The Curse): This is a single image wallpaper featuring the magnificent Sarah/Osiris. The photography in some parts of this episode was simply stunning.
Plot in a Box--Enemies: Again, Cathy brilliantly gives us the core of this episode. This time she focuses on lessons to be learned. As in all of the PiaB wallpapers, the real work on this one was Cathy's, not mine.
