The List Banner

Warriors: Some Are Born: Jack and Teal’c
Warriors: Some Are Made: Daniel. These two wallpapers were designed as a pair. The first honors two men designed in the grand heroic mold. The second honors one who grew into the mold.
Choices: A personal favorite. This wallpaper recognizes one life changing choice from each of our team.
Circle of Protection: The name is pretty self explanatory
Forged In Fire, aka Brenda’s comp: This is in honor of a very unlikely, and very special friendship. Jack and Daniel, of course. It was created in response to a request from Brenda Anders, herself a very special friend.
Costs: This wallpaper has a strange history. It began with an idea tweaked up by a silly, light hearted discussion on the Danielites list, following the episode Demons. The subject of the discussion was Bondage. So I set out to do a light hearted wallpaper featuring images of our guys in chains--but it didn’t end up funny. It ended up very serious indeed. So the background, over which I sweated for hours, ended up as the background for Watch Out, Danny!, and "Bondage" ended up as this very sobering wallpaper.
Easter Parade: Strangely enough, this one started out the same way Costs did, with fun and games on the Danielites list. The subject was the various headgears the members of the team wore. The result was this bit of silliness. It definitely wins the award for the wallpaper which utilizes the largest number of individual images LOL!
Blood and Marriage: This wallpaper recognizes the various family ties of our characters--ties of blood and ties of marriage. I wish I could claim the cleverness needed to devise this title, but it was actually lifted from the title of an audio tape by a singing group called Gaping Maw.
Hands Off! So far, my one and only intentionally slashy wallpaper LOL! I was looking at this picture from Pretense, and suddenly thought, "Gee, Jack looks like he’s thinking..." and that was that. This is a Jack/Daniel wallpaper.
Oh, Mirror! This is also a Jack/Daniel wallpaper, but with a twist. It features two Jacks and two Daniels, with a couple of Sha’uri’s thrown in for leavening.
Brothers In Arms: Another of Brenda’s requests. The title is to be taken quite literally. This features the three hugs we’ve seen between Jack and Daniel.
Moments: This wallpaper is pretty different from any of the others. It’s the product of a Stargate gathering at my place. Six of us gathered on a Saturday to wallow for hours in videos and great conversation. And while we were at it, each of us chose a moment or a scene, and I built us a wallpaper. They all agreed that you guys could share, so here it is.
Steps: The Beginning: This is another First Person challenge wallpaper--this time from Jack’s perspective. It’s the first of a pair highlighting the evolution of Jack’s image of Daniel. This one features the Stargate movie and Children of the Gods.
Small Steps: The companion to Steps: The Beginning. Here we see Jack watching Daniel mature from the tentative, rather clumsy geek of the first season into the strong, dependable third season team member. The wallpaper touches them during Thor's Hammer, Torment of Tantalus, Serpent's Lair, Need and Maternal Instinct.
Comfort: Stargate is a wonderful show--but it's a bit of a flawed gem. The biggest flaw is that, for all the hurting that goes on, there's not much in the way to comfort to follow it up. So this wallpaper is dedicated to the few bits of quality comfort we get. It's dedicated to my lovely listsibs over on the H/C list, particularly to former Listmom Joyce and current Listmom Jmas.
Stargate: The subject is the original Stargate movie. Please excuse the variable color qualities of these images--movie images are wildly strange LOL!
Wish List: This is intended as a slash wallpaper, but you can just view it as ten images of two gorgeous men, if you want LOL! Ever wonder just what Jack and Daniel might wish to find under their Christmas trees? Here they are, laid out on a bed of satin.
"I think I'm gettin' used to that thing..." The title of this one comes from the episode "The Curse," but the images come from several episodes, and from the movie LOL! This one just had to happen eventually ;^)
Siblings: From the first moment we saw them together, it was completely obvious that the universe intended that Daniel and Sam be brother and sister. They are the most natural siblings I've ever seen.
Friendship: This one is a bit special. I made it for the Yahoo! Sam and Teal'c Friendship club. And I learned something while I was searching out images--it's very hard to find scenes of interaction between these two characters. Hmmmm.
Us... Alone: The subject is all of those moments when the rest of the universe just fades away, leaving Jack and Daniel alone in the cosmos. There were more of these, but I couldn't fit them on the wallpaper.
Contact: From the 2002 Stargate Calendar, Jack and Daniel.
JackDaniel--Connection: I made this wallpaper quite a long time before I went public with it. I created it as a comfort gift for several dear fannish friends who had begun to suspect what was going on in the Stargate universe. When it became obvious that their fears were well founded, I asked their permission to let others share in the comfort.
Solid Foundation: This Jack-Daniel wallpaper was made for the Save Daniel Jackson campaign. The SDJ folks have given their permission for me to release this publicly :^) Its purpose is to underline the powerful foundation beneath these two remarkable characters.
J-D Moments: This is the second of the wallpapers I created for my special Christmas gift. It features some of the pivotal and/or delightful interactions between Jack and Daniel. For me, there's never been any question that Stargate SG-1 is about Jack and Daniel. Their friendship is the heart of the heart. The companion to this is "First Team," which can be found in the Characters: SG-1 corner of the site.
Jack and Danny 01 and 02: Early in 2004, TPTB released some terrific images of Jack and Daniel. I couldn't resist :^)
Sam & Janet: Here we have the SGC's two lovely ladies. You can take this as a monument to a terrific friendship or... something more. Up to you ;^)

Most of these are appropriate for office computers for those who don’t want to have to explain why their wallpaper is covered with those gorgeous guys.
Point of Origin: This is a purely graphic treatment of the computer display as the gate fires up. It’s very blue ;^)
Coverstone (Sandstone): I worked up the selection mask for this detailed treatment of the center of the coverstone with the intention of using it for a background. Then, after a solid week of carefully detailed selection, I found myself completely unable to cover it up with pictures LOL! So I created a wallpaper just for the coverstone. Then I did it twice more. This is the first--worked to look like a carving in sandstone.
Coverstone (Gold Inlay): The second application of that selection mask. This one is meant to imitate that lovely style that the Egyptians used to work gold. They created patterns and filigree by dripping tiny little drops of molten gold. Really beautiful.
Coverstone (Lapis Inlay): Finally, the coverstone worked to look like a lapis lazuli inlay.
Coverstone Arc: This is actually a portion of the rim of the Stargate coverstone. Again, intended to be a background; may end up there eventually.
The Nox: This is actually the background from the episode wallpaper, Appearances. It turned out so lovely all by itself that I put it up as its own wallpaper. It’s a single image wallpaper, featuring the Nox showing off their little surprise from the end of the episode.
Fifth Race: Another that began as the background for a collage. This was the first wallpaper of this type I offered. I got several requests for it after I sent out the Fifth Race collage. It features Jack gazing into the Ancients’ teaching device.
Doorway to Heaven: My first venture into surrealism, I guess LOL! This features the Gate and Jack floating at the edge of space. The background is an actual NASA photo from an orbiting spacecraft. Pretty striking.
Seeker: Daniel’s head against a starfield background. The background was developed from a HST photo.
Archaeologist: Another single image wallpaper--one of the simplest I’ve done. The image is actually one I used in "Doctor of Archaeology." In fact, this was made at the same time. The pic is Daniel, in silhouette, carefully descending the staircase on Ernest’s Planet.
First Line of Defense: This is a graphic treatment of the SGC shoulder patch design. One of these days, I’ll do its partner, the SG-1 shoulder patch.
Meaning of Life: Another single image wallpaper from Torment of Tantalus. This is the distant image of the moment when Jack fires up the "book."
Thor’s Hammer: A single image wallpaper, using a really lovely image of Sam, Daniel and their native guide silhouetted against a stormy sky.
Vindication: This is actually a Crystal Skull wallpaper. It’s a single image, of the moment when Nick finally meets his giant aliens. This one’s a beauty, if I say so myself.
Gate: This scene from Maternal Instinct shows the Stargate on Kheb against a spectacular night sky.
Temple: Again from Maternal Instinct, this features another spectacular special effects sky, this time behind the corner of the Monastery on Kheb.
The O'Neill: This is a single image wallpaper honoring the very brief but glorious career of the good ship O'Neill.
Destiny: This is a Stargate movie image which I used in my 2002 Stargate calendar. The image is that wonderful moment when Daniel meets his fate--the Stargate.
Wormhole: Another page from the 2002 Stargate calendar. The image is from Window of Opportunity. I really love the light and color effects of the planet where all the looping began, and this is an image of the active Stargate bathed in that wonderful light.
